Working on your own

Carver for one person. A massage therapist with her own studio sets her hours, and her clients book a time themselves, get a reminder, and pay with a tip. With nobody else in the business, the parts of Carver made for a crew stay out of the way until she adds a helper.

Her page

A page that is just her

Lakeside Massage is Jane Okafor and nobody else. Her page lists her services with how long each takes, introduces her by name, and puts "Book a time" at the top.

Each service says how long it takes and what it costs. With one person on the page it reads "Meet Jane" rather than "Meet the team", and a client's review sits underneath.

Booking

Clients pick a time

A client chooses a service, then an open time from a week at a time. The times come from Jane's hours and what is already on her calendar, so nothing double-books, and the time is booked as soon as they send it.

A service → a day → a time → booked

A week at a time

Days she doesn't work are crossed out, and a time that is already taken never appears. On Thursdays she works until eight, so the times run into the evening. The button says exactly what will be booked.

Maya lands in a conversation with the booking already in it, Jane's welcome note asking about injuries, and the deposit to pay. Jane is in the conversation from the start, so anything Maya adds reaches her.Booked straight away

Before and after

A reminder, then paid

The evening before, the client gets a reminder. Afterwards, one link to rate the session, add a tip and pay, with no password.

Her side

Her day, and her hours

Jane's own screens leave out what only a crew needs: no Team tab, no "Who's it for?" on a job, and no team count on the dashboard. They all appear the day she adds a helper.

Today's sessions and the week ahead, what she earned in the last seven days and has booked for the next, and an Upcoming count where a company with a crew sees its team size.

Online booking is one switch. She sets each day's hours, closes Sundays and Mondays, and keeps Thursday evenings open. Bookings fit around whatever is already on her calendar.
