Starting a company

How a company gets started on Carver. An owner signs up, names the business, picks a color, adds a first service and invites the crew, and can be working in a few minutes. Every company starts with a 30-day trial, and no card is required. These screens come from a real sign-up, start to finish.

Sign-up

One form, and the company exists

Signing up creates the company at the same time as the owner's account, so there is no separate setup step before the owner can start.

Five fields. The company name is part of sign-up rather than something configured later, so the account and the business are created together and the owner lands inside their own company.Self-serve

First run

Four steps to a working business

A short setup wizard walks the owner through the basics. Each step saves as they go, setup can be finished later from Settings, and the dots at the top show how much is left.

Brand → first service → invite crew → trial → dashboard

Step 1, make it yours

A brand color and a short description. The screen explains that both appear on the public page customers land on from a QR code, so the owner knows what they are editing.

Step 2, the first service Step 2, the first service

Step 2, the first service

A name and an optional hourly rate, with examples from different trades because Carver does not assume what kind of business this is. Pressing Next adds what was typed, so an owner who never presses Add does not lose it.

Step 3, just you or a crew Step 3, just you or a crew

Step 3, just you or a crew

The step asks first whether the owner works alone or has help, because plenty of these businesses are one person. Choosing help opens invitations by email, with a toggle for whether the person is a manager, and the step says plainly that each person who joins counts toward the plan. A name typed but never sent gets a warning before the owner moves on.

Thirty days, everything unlocked, no card required, with the end date spelled out. Billing can be added from Settings whenever the owner is ready. No card

Then the dashboard

The first time a new owner reaches their dashboard, a short welcome explains how Carver works in three slides. A request comes in, it gets quoted and scheduled, and the finished job gets paid. It hands off to a tutorial on the Requests screen.
